Air fried bell peppers is one of my favourite vegetable sides. Super easy recipe that is done in under 15 minutes, it is a great way to include rainbow on your plate.
I use this peppers in fajitas, tacos, wraps, sandwiches or even as sides with pasta, on pizza toppings and so on.
I have also done broccoli, corn on the cob and onions along with peppers in air fryer. They are so delicious.

How to Cook Air fryer Bell Peppers
The recipe is as simple as making thin slices of peppers. If you can, try to get different coloured peppers. That way they not only look beautiful but are super healthy too.
Remember to toss them with oil and spices just prior to air frying.
Also do not overload your basket, we want them to bake and get crispy edges, not get soggy.
Ingredients
- Peppers: I use red, yellow and green peppers. Use whatever is available.
- Olive oil: Olive oil is wonderful for tossing and helping the spices adhere to the peppers.
- Spices and herbs: Use spice and herbs of choice. I love using pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and salt. You can also use cayenne or paprika.
- Lemon juice: For an oil-free version, use lemon juice to mix the spices in and then toss the peppers with them.
Instructions
Cut each pepper and remove the thick veins with seeds. Now cut each pepper into thin slices. You can cut them into squares too.
Keep the pieces of similar size to cook evenly.
Toss the cut peppers with oil and spices.
Mix well. Don’t keep for long after mixing as it will start releasing water.
Air frying instructions
Preheat air fryer at 360F or 180C for 4 minutes.
To air fryer bell peppers, place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 180C or 360F for about 8-10 minutes till the peppers are cooked and the sides have started browning.
I air fry for about 8 minutes as I like my peppers to have a bit of a bite. If you want them to be more cooked then cook longer.
Your peppers are done. Have them as a side or in other preparations like salads and wraps.
Enjoy.
