    Why You'll Love This Recipe

Fast and Easy: It really takes so much lesser time to do veggies in the air fryer.

I let my air fryer preheat when I am chopping the veggies. Then it takes just 10 minutes of cooking time.

Voila, your side dish is done. This dish is done in under 20 minutes.

Nutritious: Both broccoli and cauliflower are powerhouse veggies packed with fiber, vitamin C, and plenty of other nutrients.

Cooking them in air fryer keeps their nutrition intact.

Versatile: Serve this dish as a side, add it to your salad, or simply enjoy it as a healthy snack.

Modify the seasonings any way you like.

Flavorful: Delicious charring from air frying brings out an incredible flavor from these veggies, making this dish surprisingly delicious.

    Ingredients

Broccoli and Cauliflower: I used one head each and cut them into small florets. About 1 lb. or roughly 500 gm. together.

Olive oil: I used 2 tsp. of olive oil.

Seasonings: Salt, pepper and minced garlic are the seasonings I used.

    Variations and Substitutions

Seasoning Variations: Feel free to get creative with your spices.

Try Italian seasoning, Cajun spice, or curry powder for a fun twist.

Vegetable Substitutions: While we're focusing on broccoli and cauliflower here, but this method works beautifully with other hearty vegetables like brussels sprouts or carrots.

Oil-Free Version: If you're avoiding oil, you can use a couple of tablespoons of vegetable broth or lemon juice for a lighter option.

    Serving Suggestions

As a side dish to your favorite protein – grilled tofu, paneer or chicken.

Tossed in your salads for some added crunch and flavor.

As a healthy, addictive snack. Try them with a dip of your choice - hummus, tzatziki, gochujang aioli or a spicy mayo.

Air fry for 10-12 minutes at 360F or 180C, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.

Check for doneness by poking a floret with a fork.

If it's tender, they're done! If not, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

The edges will get nicely charred.

    Expert Tips

Cutting the veggies uniformly: Keep your florets roughly the same size to ensure even cooking.

Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: Overcrowding leads to steaming rather than roasting. Cook in batches if necessary.

Shake the Basket: Remember to shake the basket halfway through to ensure the veggies get crispy on all sides.

Season well: The veggies get their flavour from the seasonings.

You can use any spice mix of choice.

Serve hot: For the best results, serve your air-fried broccoli and cauliflower immediately.

They're most crispy and delicious straight from the fryer.
