1. Chicken wings: I have used 1 lb. or 500 gm. fresh chicken wings.
You can use frozen wings as well.
Just thaw them or cook them for more time if cooking frozen wings.
2. Salt and pepper: These are used for seasoning the chicken wings
For the Korean Sauce
1. Gochujang paste: This spicy and savory fermented Korean red chili paste is the backbone of this recipe.
2. Soy sauce: Love its salty kick in this recipe. Use low sodium one if possible.
3. Sesame oil: I like its nutty flavour
4. Apple cider vinegar: I have used apple cider vinegar here for its piquant taste.
5. Garlic paste: I have used 1 tsp. of garlic paste or minced garlic here.
You can use rice vinegar too.
6. Brown sugar: This helps to balance out the flavours and imparts a little sweetness.
7. Pepper: Some freshly cracked pepper adds a nice hit to the sauce.
For Garnishing (optional)
1. Sesame seeds: Sprinkle some sesame seeds for a nice crunch.
2. Chopped green onions or chives: Some green onion can be added as a garnish.
Variations and Substitutions
1. Adjust Spice Level: Reduce the quantity of gochujang paste used for less spice.

Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket making sure that they don’t overlap.
Air fry at 350F or 175C for about 20-25 minutes till the skin is crispy and they are cooked.
Flip them midway for even cooking.
To make the Gochujang sauce
Add Gochujang paste to soy sauce. Add brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar.
Mix well till smooth. Add ½ tsp. Pepper and mix again.
Once wings are done, transfer them to a bowl.
Toss them with the prepared Gochujang sauce to coat evenly.
Pop them back into the air fryer for about 4 minutes at 350F or 175C for a nice sticky sauce.
You can also just toss in sauce and serve.

Preheat oven to 400F or 200C.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread out the wings seasoned with salt and pepper.
