Pineapple roasted in air fryer is sweet and delicious with a little crisping on the edges. It is a wonderful snack or a sweet treat.
Air fryer is great for roasting both fruits and veggies.
It gives a delicious roasted taste that enhances the natural sweetness of the fruit.
This pineapple needs just 4 ingredients and turns out super tasty.

Tips and Tricks
1. Remove the outer skin of the pineapple and cut into rings.
You can remove the core but I leave it on.
2. I used pepper and honey to brush on the pineapple.
If you want a smoky flavor, you can brush with BBQ sauce.
3. For non vegan, you can use honey as well.
4. Air fry till the pineapple starts to turn brown on the edges. I don’t like it to be too browned.
5. Take out and enjoy as a snack.

Remove the outer skin of the pineapple and cut into ½ inch thick rounds.
You can core the pineapple using a corer and cut it into rings but I leave it as it is.
Now further halve it.
Add 2 tbsp. maple syrup or brown sugar and 1 tsp. ground pepper or chilli flakes along with ½ tsp. ground cinnamon.
Preheat air fryer at 200C or 390F for 4 minutes.
Lay the slices in air fryer basket.
I used a parchment paper to line the basket. It makes clean up easier.
Air fry pineapple slices at 200C or 390F for about 8-10 minutes.
It will begin to brown on the edges.
I don’t flip the slices but you can flip them and cook for a couple of minutes more for even colour.
That’s it your roasted pineapple is ready. Take it out and eat is as it is.
Or you can add it to salads, tacos or Asian dishes. It is so delicious.

2. You can use any spice that you like. BBQ sauce brushed on pineapple tastes nice and smoky too.
3. Don’t let your pineapple slices get too browned. They start tasting a bit burnt then.
4. You can store the air fried pineapple rings in the fridge for a couple of days. You can eat them cold or air fry again at 200C or 390F for 2-3 minutes to heat them up.
5. This recipe is vegan. You can use honey if you are not vegan.
