    Easy Air fryer Cassava Chips | Yuca Chips (Step-by-step Recipe)

    Cassava also known as tapioca or yuca is a root that is starchy. One can make tasty crispy cassava chips which are also low calorie using Airfryer.

    You may also like: sweet potato chips, plantain chips, kale chips, beet chips.

    This is a really tasty and healthy 4 pm snack. Serve it with ketchup or a dip or just have it plain with your evening tea.

    These air fryer cassava chips will be an instant favourite at your home.

    Here’s my Airfryer Cassava Chips recipe:

    Step-by-step Recipe:

    Use a mandolin to cut thin, evenly-sized tapioca slices.

    Then soak them in cold water for about 15 minutes. Drain and dry thoroughly.

    Mix oil and seasoning in a bowl. Add tapioca slices.

    Let each slice be coated.

    Pre-heat Airfryer for 6 minutes at 360 F or 180 C.

    Now airfry tapioca slices at 360 F or 180 C for 8 minutes or till cooked. Remember they crisp up when resting.

    Do shake once in the middle during airfrying.

    Enjoy these tasty crispy guilt free in the evening.

    Pro-Tips:

    1. Cut even sized tapioca slices for even cooking results.
    2. You can use the same recipe for deep frying in oil as well.
    3. This is a vegan recipe and low calorie.
    4. You can vary the seasoning as per your like. You can add garlic powder or pepper too.
    5. You can also bake the fries if you don’t have an Airfryer.
    6. Keep an eye on the fries from 6 minutes onwards. Don’t let them get too brown or burned.
    7. Don’t crowd your Airfryer too much. A bit of overlapping of fries while layering is fine.
    8. The fries will crisp up when rested.

    • 1 tsp. cayenne or chilli powder
    • 1 tsp. chaat masala optional
    • Salt to taste

      Hi this looks great! Do yo-yo know how much cassava is needed to make it to two cups?

        Hi Sonia, I can weigh it next time when I make it. As a guess, I would say about 300 gm.
