Air fryer roasted pecans are such an easy snack to make when you are in the mood for something crunchy and savory. The pecans get nicely toasted in just a few minutes. All you need is some basic seasonings and a light spray of olive oil.
I like keeping a batch around for snacking, but these are also really good tossed into salads, sprinkled over soups or served alongside a cheese board. It is literally done in under 10 minutes. I often make trail mixes of nuts and seeds by lightly roasting them in the air fryer.

Ingredient Breakdown
Pecans: I have used store-bought pecan halves here.
Olive Oil: Just a little oil is enough for spraying or brushing so that the nuts get a golden appearance.
Seasonings: I have kept it simple with salt, paprika and garlic powder for seasonings here. You can also use spice mixes like taco seasoning or Cajun seasoning if you like those.

Instructions
Take raw pecan halves in a bowl. Mix the seasonings with salt and sprinkle all over the nuts.

Then spray olive oil and toss well so that the seasonings coat the pecans well.

Preheat the air fryer to 360F or 180C for 3 minutes. Spread seasoned pecans in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry for 3 to 4 minutes, shaking the basket once or twice during cooking.Â
Be watchful as pecans can go from perfectly roasted to burnt in a span of a couple of minutes. I normally go with 3 minutes. But this time will vary depending upon the size of your pecans and the type of your air fryer.

Transfer the pecans to a plate, and let them cool completely. They may feel not very crispy when you take them out. But, they turn crispy on cooling.
Once cool, you can store them in an airtight jar. Your tasty air fryer roasted pecans are done. Have them as a snack or as a crunchy topper on salads or in trail mixes.

This is a small batch recipe that gets over quickly, and the pecans taste fresh. It is much faster than oven.
Expert Tips
1. Be watchful of the time. If doing for the first time, I suggest you check every minute after 2 minutes of air frying time to ensure that they don't go over.
2. Don't overcrowd the basket. Spread the pecans out in a single layer for even roasting. Also shake basket a couple of times during air frying.
3. You can add other spices or seasonings to the pecans. You can also make a sweet version by adding maple syrup and cinnamon and then air frying.
4. Storage instructions: Let the pecans cool completely before storing. Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week.
