Made just 3 ingredients, you can make a large batch and let it chill in the fridge.
Great for after a workout or for a get together with friends, It is actually one of my favourite lemonades.

Ingredients
Coconut Water: I have used water from 2 coconuts or about 3 cups
Lemon juice: 1 tbsp. lemon juice is used here.
Sugar: I have used 2 tbsp. of sugar here.
Garnish: Ice cubes and lemon wedges
Variations and Substitutions
1. Add Fruits: Mix in chopped strawberries, raspberries, chopped tender coconut or a tropical fruit like mango for variety.
2. Sugar of your choice: Anything from Honey, agave syrup, maple syrup, brown sugar to even stevia works if you're watching calories.
3. Add herbs: A sprig of mint or basil can add an interesting colour and add to the freshness.
4. Spice: Fresh ginger or a sliced jalapeño would give this lemonade a nice twist.
5. Citrus Swap: Use lime or orange juice instead of lemon for a different flavor.
Serving Ideas
Serve chilled: This lemonade tastes best when served chilled. Use a lot of ice cubes.
Garnish Game: Slices or wedges of lemon, lime or orange really make the lemonade look pretty.
Food Pairing: This lemonade works so well whether with BBQ or a brunch.

I have used fresh coconut water. Here I have used coconut water from 2 tender coconuts which was about 3 cups.
You can use canned coconut water. Just make sure it is not sweetened. Coconut water has a bit of sweetness of its own.
In a pitcher or a vessel, combine together lemon juice and sugar. Mix it well till the sugar dissolves.
I add about ½ cup water more to help expedite the dissolving of sugar in water.
Add coconut water to this lemonade and mix well.
To serve add ice cubes to a glass. Add the lemonade.
Garnish with some lemon wedges and serve immediately.
Enjoy the refreshing taste of this coconut water lemonade. It is so tasty.

1. Choose natural unsweetened coconut water. The fresher the better.
If you can catch hold of fresh tender coconuts then it works really well. Otherwise, canned works good.
2. Adjust the amount of sugar used as per taste. Also coconut water is slightly sweet too so take that into account.
3. You can make large batches ahead. Just do not add ice cubes and other garnishes.
4. You can heat the water to help dissolve the sugar faster. But then you will need to cool down the water before you add coconut water.
Hence I prefer to just mix the sugar and water at room temperature.

Yes, you can, if you don’t have fresh lemon juice at hand. Fresh juice may have a slight edge over bottled though.
I would suggest that you have it within 2 days. It will lose its fresh taste if you keep any longer.
