If you are looking for a sinful snack to fill empty tummies or for a game night, then these loaded nachos in air fryer are the way to go!
Nothing healthy here, but this is an indulgence we all can do with once in a while. This is a quick snack that comes together in under 10 minutes. It is super versatile too because really apart from cheese, put any toppings you have in your fridge.
A true crowd pleaser recipe that you must give a go at.

Ingredients
Nachos: I have used a large pack of store-bought nachos about 4 oz. or 115 gm. Use one with less seasoning.
Cheese: 1 cup of cheddar cheese is what I used. Taco cheese mix works well. You can use more too.
Vegetables: I used chopped scallion and tomatoes here.
Olives: I love the taste of olives and used about 2 tbsp. sliced black olives in the recipe.
Jalapeños: About 1 tbsp. of pickled jalapeños add the tartness and spice here.
Sriracha sauce: I drizzled some over the loaded nachos for added hit.
Optionals: Serve with drizzled sour cream, guacamole and fresh salsa on the side. You can also use some protein like leftover chili or beans.
Variations and Substitutions
This recipe is vegetarian as it uses dairy. If you eat meat, you can add some meaty chili or other filling her.
Experiment with the cheese varieties used. I mostly go with Cheddar or mozzarella or a mix of both.
Serving Suggestions
Perfect for whenever you are looking for a delicious and hearty snack. Great for get togethers, game nights, weekend nights or even a quick meal if you really have nothing else to eat.
Ingredients
4 cups nachos
1 cup Cheddar
1 scallion chopped
½ tomato chopped
2 tbsp. olives slices
1 tbsp. pickled jalapeños
1 tbsp. Sriracha sauce for drizzling optional
Optionals
Guacamole, salsa, canned beans, sour cream
Instructions
The recipe is all about prep and assembling.
Take good thick nachos. I used Doritos but any brand works. You can even make homemade nachos too.
Chop the veggies you are using like scallions, whites and green separately, peppers, tomatoes and keep aside.
Take olives and jalapeños and keep aside. Use 1 cup grated cheese. If using sour cream, salsa and guacamole, take them in bowls.
I also used Sriracha sauce that I drizzled on top.
This recipe does not need the air fryer to be preheated. Just lay an aluminium foil/parchment paper to cover the base. I have used silicone mat to help with removing the nachos once hot. Layer nachos and put some cheese on top.
Then add some chopped veggies. Layer some more nachos and top with more cheese and chopped scallion. You can do as many layers as you like. Use as much cheese as you would like.
Now, air fry at 360F or 180C for about 4-5 minutes till the cheese is bubbling and has melted. You don’t need to cook anything. In case you are using any cooked protein, add it before air frying.
Take out the air fryer basket and top with chopped veggies, olives and jalapeños. Use any other toppings like cooked/canned beans or other protein etc.
Then serve with drizzled sour cream, guacamole and salsa. Your delightful loaded nachos in air fryer are done. Absolutely amazing in taste. Serve hot.
Expert Tips
1. Layering the nachos with cheese and toppings makes every chip nicely loaded. Use as much toppings and cheese as you would like.
2. Preferably use thicker chips and also ones that are lightly seasoned. I tried it with super hot chips once and it was not that great.
3. Using aluminium foil or silicone mat at the base helps in taking out the loaded nachos in a more manageable manner. Just use a spatula to gently take out the silicone mat from the side of the air fryer. Be careful as the basket will be hot.
4. Use any toppings that you have. There is no right or wrong here.
5. These loaded nachos are best served hot. They will get soggy if you store them. But if you really must, you can store the leftovers in an air tight container for a couple of days in the fridge. Reheat and serve though it won’t be very crispy.
6. Try different varieties of nachos for a slightly different treat each time. Enjoy your air fryer loaded nachos.
