These delicious pigs in a blanket in air fryer or crescent dogs are a lovely snack or treat for the kids. Super easy beginner friendly recipe.
This recipe is super easy in the air fryer and is done in no time. I use crescent rolls or puff pastry sheets while making this recipe. The work gets even easier.
If you keep some frozen puff pastry sheets in your freezer then you would love to try these fried Oreos in air fryer as well.

Tips for Making the Perfect Air fryer Pigs in a Blanket
1. Use any sausages of choice. I use breakfast sausages, cream and onion, salt and pepper and pretty much any type I have in my freezer.
2. Thaw your sausages before using.
3. For pigs in the blanket use either cocktail sausages or cut the regular into two.
4. You can use crescent dough or in India you get Unroll puff pastry sheets that work well.
5. For wrapping the crescent dough on each mini dog or full dog, you could just wrap a square around each small hot dog.
6. Or you could cut crescent dough after unwrapping the cylinder and cut into half then wrap that around your sausages. Check out the stepwise pics to understand better.
7. Air fry and eat. Super easy.
Stepwise Pictures
Thaw the pastry sheets if kept in the freezer. Cut them into squares. If using crescent rolls cut each one one into.
Cut each hot dog or sausage into halves or use cocktail sizes for pigs in the blanket.
Wrap each sausage in the puff pastry sheet by placing the sausage at a diagonal on the pastry sheet.
Arrange each wrapped dog on the air fryer basket. You can fit 6-8 cocktail ones at one go.
Now air fry at 390F or 200C for about 6-8 minutes. No need to flip midway.
There is no need to preheat the air fryer.
If doing in two batches, the second batch can be done in 5-6 minutes (as it is hot now after doing the first batch) while I took 8 minutes for the first batch.
Once golden brown they are done.
Serve hot with the dip of your choice. I love mustard honey or honey chili dips.
