Tips to Make Perfect Kale Chips in Air fryer
1. Choose bright green and fresh kale leaves.
After washing and drying them well, pick them out so as to leave out the thick spine.
Spine is bitter, and for that reason it is best to discard it.
I just pluck out the leaves using my fingers.
2. Make sure they are completely dry. Lightly spray or brush olive oil on both sides.
Sprinkle just a little bit of Himalayan pink salt.
Frankly these chips don’t need any other seasoning.
3. When air frying, check after every minute.
4. I keep removing the ones that have crisped up.
This is to make sure that none of them get browned.
They don’t take too long to crisp up. I took maximum 4 minutes.
5. I did not face any issue of flying kale chips.
6. Take them out and serve them as is. So addictively tasty.
The kids just polished off a bowl.
Variations:

You can make it oil free, but I feel the chips feel very dry.
Ingredients
1. Kale: Buy fresh bright green kale leaves that are tender.

Using your hands or brush, lightly coat both the sides with some olive oil.
Using your hands lightly sprinkle some salt all over the kale.
Air frying Instructions
Place kale leaves in air fryer basket. I did two batches for my kale chips.
Air fry for about 4 minutes at 380F or 180C.
After 1 minute, keep checking on the kale leaves.
Some of them crisp up faster than the others.
I kept removing them to ensure that some did not get charred while the others were crisping up.
These are done really quickly. My kale leaves did not fly around at all.
Once the chips are done, serve them with any dip of choice.
You can also store them in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days.
They don’t last that long though.
Baking Instructions
Preheat oven at 300F.
Lay the kale leaves tossed with olive oil and lightly sprinkled with salt on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
