Chicken fajitas in air fryer are super easy to make and so tasty. You have dinner ready in under 30 minutes.
Whether you have them as is or in a wrap, these are perfect for a quick and healthy bite.
I love having chicken fajitas.
Basically chicken strips with vegetables that are well seasoned and air fried.
The chicken is so flavourful and the veggies are done to perfection.
You could do these on a skillet but I prefer how they turn out air fried which is evenly cooked and browned.
Also no supervision needed.
My kids use tortillas, mayo and mustard and make wholesome wraps for themselves.
I prefer to just pair with this cucumber salad and eat.
This recipe is high protein and low calorie. Very nutritious too.

Tips to Make Best Air fryer Chicken Fajitas
1. Cut chicken strips and vegetables in similar shaped strips.
Don’t cut veggies too thin or they will burn.
2. Use a meat thermometer to check if chicken is done.
The temperature should reach 165F for chicken to be cooked through.
3. I use a combination of peppers and onion along with chicken but you can add other veggies of choice too that take similar time in cooking.
Mushrooms, green beans, carrots work well here.
4. I have used fajita seasoning but you can use any seasoning of choice.
If you don’t have a ready seasoning mix, make your own. Check notes for recipe.
5. I use chicken breast strips but you can use boneless leg strips as well.
6. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer or your fajitas may end up being steamed instead of roasted.
The air frying time will vary a bit depending upon the size of your chicken strips and the model of your air fryer.

2. Vegetables: Use peppers and onions to add crunch and colour to your chicken fajitas.
3. Oil: I have used extra virgin olive oil. Avocado oil or any vegetable oil works.
4. Fajita seasoning: I have used store-bought seasoning.

How to Serve Chicken Fajitas
1. In a bowl without bread: Just serve with some lemon wedges in a bowl.
This is your perfect keto meal. You can add some avocados and salsa here as well.
2. With bread: Serve as a chicken fajita wrap by wrapping in a tortilla.
You could use mustard and mayo spread in tortilla.
You could also add salad like lettuce, avocado, tomatoes etc.
Stepwise Instructions
Cut chicken into strips, if not already cut.
Cut peppers and onion into thick strips.
Mix together chicken and veggie strips with oil and fajita seasoning.
You can also try this Carne Asada Seasoning for a different Mexican twist to your fajitas.
Preheat air fryer at 200C or 390F for 5 minutes.
Add chicken and veggie strips with seasoning to air fryer basket.
Air fry at 200C or 390F for about 14 minutes till chicken is done and veggies are browned on the edges.
Check using a meat thermometer that the chicken is at 165F or 75C temperature.
Don’t overcook the chicken or it gets stringy.
