These edamame in air fryer are delicious and have a slight nutty taste. They are super healthy and make for perfect snack.

  • Take edamame beans in a bowl. Dry them using paper towels.
  • If you can’t find fresh ones, you should be able to get frozen edamame.
  • Toss with olive oil along with salt, pepper, garlic powder and nutritional yeast.
  • Preheat air fryer at 200C or 400F for 4 minutes.
  • Lay seasoned edamame in the air fryer basket in one layer.
  • Air fry for about 10-12 minutes till edamame is golden brown and cooked. It is chewy and crispy.
  • Take them out and eat them right away. Serve air fried edamame as a snack or a little appetiser. Enjoy.
  • If using frozen edamame, just increase the air frying time by 2-3 minutes.

Notes

1. Choose fresh green edamame that are shelled, in pods or even frozen for this recipe.
2. Just a light coating of oil with seasonings works fine. But you can use other seasonings like Italian seasoning, chilli flakes, Old Bay seasoning, cajun spice etc.
3. You can also make this recipe oil free by skipping oil and using lemon juice to help your spices adhere to edamame.
4. You should be able to find edamame in your grocery stores, especially in the frozen section.
5. You can store this snack in air-tight container for up to 2 days. Air fry again to heat and crisp them up before eating.
