Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. Butter

Instructions

  • Place your silicone cake mould or metal pan in the air fryer basket. I have used a 6” pan here.
  • Add 1 tsp. of butter.
  • Set the air fryer at 300F or 150C and air fry for 2 minutes. Your butter would melt.
  • Meanwhile, break two eggs in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste and whisk well till nicely incorporated.
  • If you are using milk, cream or cheese, or veggies or meat, you can add it here along with the egg mixture.
  • After the butter melts, add the whipped egg mixture to the silicone mould or cake mould.
  • Air fry at 300F or 150C for about 2 minutes. Open the air fryer basket. Your scrambled eggs will start cooking.
  • Using a spatula, mix the egg mixture well and scrape the bottom.
  • Repeat this process once every 2 minutes.
  • It took me 9 minutes in all at 300F or 150C including the butter melting time for the eggs to be cooked soft. If you want them fully set, maybe do a minute more.
  • Please check for your model of air fryer and adjust the cooking time.
  • If you double the recipe, for 4 eggs, you may need about 14-15 minutes of air frying time in all at 300F or 150C.
  • Take out your delicious scrambled eggs, garnish it any way your like and serve with the accompaniments of choice.
  • Enjoy your tasty breakfast.

Notes

1. These eggs cook better at a lower temperature. I have cooked them at 300F or 150C. I did not preheat the air fryer.
2. Since every air fryer is different, your cooking time may vary by a little bit. So the first time you are making them, cook every minute or 2 after the first 4-5 minutes of air frying time.
3. I have doubled and made this recipe, and it takes about 4 minutes more with 4 eggs. So do your trial and error for larger batches.
4. You can store your scrambled eggs in a fridge for upto a day in an airtight container. Heat it through thoroughly before eating.
5. It is very important to mix and scrape the bottom of your pan for making scrambled eggs else they will set into an omelette.
6. The time taken for heating the butter is like a mini preheating time.
7. Any add-ons that you add must be added when you are whisking the eggs.
8. This is a keto recipe that is high on protein and fats and very low in carbs.
