Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Cauliflower and broccoli florets or 500 gm.
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ¾ tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Garlic minced
  • 2 tsp. Olive oil

Instructions

  • Cut each head of broccoli and cauliflower into medium-sized florets. Wash and dry them well.
  • In a large bowl, toss the broccoli and cauliflower florets with olive oil, ensuring all pieces are well-coated.
  • If using vegetable broth or lemon juice, use that in place of oil.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Preheat your air fryer at 180C or 360F for 5 minutes.
  • Place the veggies in the air fryer basket, spreading them out evenly. Don’t overcrowd.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes at 360F or 180C, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  • Check for doneness by poking a floret with a fork.
  • If it's tender, they're done! If not, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • The edges will get nicely charred.
  • Take out your air fried broccoli and cauliflower. Serve hot.

Notes

1. Cutting the veggies uniformly: Keep your florets roughly the same size to ensure even cooking.
2. Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: Overcrowding leads to steaming rather than roasting. Cook in batches if necessary.
3. Shake the Basket: Remember to shake the basket halfway through to ensure the veggies get crispy on all sides.
4. Season well: The veggies get their flavour from the seasonings.
You can use any spice mix of choice.
5. Serve hot: For the best results, serve your air-fried broccoli and cauliflower immediately. They're most crispy and delicious straight from the fryer.
