Using fresh and good quality unpopped corn gives you nice popcorn.
You can change the seasonings as per your like. Just salt or salt and pepper works equally well.
You can also choose to add salt and seasonings after popping the corn.
Oil is needed to coat the kernels to help them pop and also prevent them from burning.
If you pop for too long then your popcorn may get burnt. Make sure that you only pop for about 3-4 minutes till you hear the popping reduce.
If you don’t have a glass lid, you can use a regular lid and just rely on the popping sound to guide you.
I used a glass lid from another cookware and it worked just fine.
These must be had fresh. You cannot store popcorn or they lose their freshness.
