Ingredients

Instructions

  • Cut each pepper and remove the thick veins with seeds. Now cut each pepper into thin slices. You can cut them into squares too.
  • Keep the pieces of similar size to cook evenly.
  • Toss the cut peppers with oil and spices.
  • Mix well. Don’t keep for long after mixing as it will start releasing water.
  • Preheat air fryer at 360F or 180C for 4 minutes.
  • Lay the peppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry at 180C or 360F for about 8-10 minutes till the peppers are cooked and the sides have started browning.
  • I air fry for about 8 minutes as I like my peppers to have a bit of a bite. If you want them to be more cooked then cook longer.
  • Your peppers are done. Have them as a side or in other preparations like salads and wraps.
  • Enjoy.

Notes

1. Cut the peppers in similar sizes for even cooking.
2. You can use any peppers that you have available.
3. You can make oil-free version by using lemon juice or vegetable stock to help adhere the spices to the peppers.
4. Olive oil or avocado oil work well in this recipe.
5. You can also add sliced onions to the peppers while air frying.
6. Lay the peppers in one layer in the air fryer basket. This is to ensure that the peppers get nicely roasted.
7. You do not need to flip the peppers midway during cooking.
