1.Wash and chop karela. Discard seeds. Apply salt and keep aside for 30 minutes. Wash off and use.

2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped karela and onion. Cook together for 15 minutes on low flame.

3. Add turmeric, coriander and chilli powders and mix well. Cook covered for 10 minutes more.

4. Add tamarind paste or amchur with garam masala and salt. Mix well.  Taste and adjust spices.

6. Delicious karela sabzi is ready to serve. Enjoy with rotis or parathas.
