1. Wash and soak urad dal with fenugreek seeds for about six hours.

2. Soak rice separately for six hours.

3. Blend soaked dal with fenugreek seeds along with some cold water. Blend rice as well. Mix both together with your hands.

4. Keep in a warm place overnight for fermentation. The batter doubles in volume so keep in a large vessel.

5. Heat water in a steamer. Lightly oil idle mould. Add idli batter to the mould. Steam for about 10 minutes till cooked.

6. Your fluffy and soft idlis are done. Cool for 5 minutes before taking them out.

7. Serve your soft and delicious idlis hot with sambar and coconut chutney. Enjoy!
